Robert Williams
Origional member of Disability Justice Australia
Robert Williams was one of the original members of DJA when it was first formed in 1990 as the Action resource Network and the first to move out of home and live with a group of friends who also had a disability. Robert did not accept that having a disability meant he could not do the same things everyone else could do. He was the start of people with disability not letting others decide on what their limitations were.

Mary Reid
Order of Australia Medal
In 2006 Mary was awarded the Order of Australia medal for her services to people with a disability. Her hard work and determination was a contributor to the advancement of attendant care services to allow independent living.

Mary was a polio survivor after contracting the disease at age 10, she never regained the use of her legs. Mary made it her life's mission to make sure people with a disability could live their lives without limitations and proved that no matter who you are or what life may throw at you, that you can still have control of your life.
